Valkyries’ Star Forward Signs with Unrivaled
The two-time Olympic medalist will debut in the 3-on-3 league next season, and her team assignment will be announced later.
Golden State Valkyries forward Gabby Williams signed a multiyear contract with Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league announced Thursday. The 29-year-old will debut when the league's third season tips off in January 2027.
Williams joined the Valkyries as a free agent earlier this year after four seasons with the Seattle Storm. The eight-year WNBA veteran is widely regarded as one of the league's top defensive players.
Averaging a career-high 16.3 points per game, Williams has helped the Valkyries secure a 10-5 start. She is also shooting a career-best 38.2% from 3-point range, providing offensive and defensive versatility.
Joining fellow stars Breanna Stewart and Naphessa Collier, who founded the league, Williams expands its roster. Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles will also suit up for the 2027 season.
Because Unrivaled's schedule runs from January to mid-March, Williams will be unable to play for her Turkish club, Fenerbah, during that stretch. Some participants join overseas teams after the season concludes.
