Today, Václav Havel would have been ninety years old. We, together with the Václav Havel Library, recently (before the library in its original form ended) asked various personalities about the brave man, inspiring thinker, world-famous playwright and first post-November president, and later Czech president. The Czech Republic is commemorating the 90th anniversary of the birth of Václav Havel - a playwright, dissident, politician and one of the most prominent figures in the country's modern history. Commemorative events, debates and happenings took place across the country over the weekend and will continue in the coming days. Dagmar Havlová will, among other things, go to the Senate to unveil a commemorative plaque.
