- Authorities confirmed the suspect and one victim are roommates and students at the University of South Florida , and all individuals involved in the incident have been identified.
- Detectives launched a separate death investigation at 3600 East Fletcher Avenue, the address of Union on Fletcher, on Wednesday afternoon. They believe the deceased individual is the stabbing suspect connected to the earlier incident.
- "We see, like, a bloody shirt," USF student Brooke Lahciev said regarding the scene. Property owner BHOM Student Living stated the situation was isolated to one unit with no ongoing threat to residents.
