US security also important in destruction of 'surplus ammunition and weapons' in Suriname

PARAMARIBO — RPG rockets, mortars, hand grenades, anti-tank rockets and framing rockets were destroyed this week in Suriname under the watchful eye of the American embassy in cooperation with the Directorate of National Security (DNV), Caricom Impacs and the Mines Advisory Group (MAG). The American embassy reports in a press release that the weapons and ammunition, including 4,292 of the most dangerous type, had a total weight of fifteen tons.
