- Following President Donald Trump's recent talks with Syria, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said "Treasury will continue to target Hezbollah's financial networks and hold accountable those who enable the group to undermine the Lebanese state."
- These designations occur as a deal is expected to halt regional hostilities following the March 2 offensive, when Hezbollah fired at Israel in solidarity with Tehran, sparking an Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon.
