Administration renews waiver for Russian oil
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration renewed a waiver Friday allowing countries to buy sanctioned Russian oil at sea for about a month, even as lawmakers accused the government of going easy on Moscow as its invasion of Ukraine grinds on.
The decision, which provoked the wrath of the democrats and Ukraine, came two days after the statements of the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, who had ruled out a further extension.
