US Pressure on Iran Starting to Tell, as Sanctions and Blockade Bite

President Masoud Pezeshkian reported total trade has fallen between 25% and 35%, with imports hit harder than exports. Private-sector employee Mahnaz said, "We are getting poorer every day."
Ali Ansari, modern history professor at St Andrews University in Scotland, said Iran is "under very, very severe economic pressure" and "losing control of the Straits," likely forcing future negotiations.
