First combat medic course run aboard a Royal Navy ship
Nineteen medics from Portsmouth Flotilla ships have completed the first Combat Medic Course to be taught partly at sea, with practical training carried out aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth. The Royal Navy has successfully linked a modified Wildcat HMA2 helicopter with several drones, marines and command units in southern England during Exercise Dragon Rider. The test aimed to increase the range of naval forces to detect and target without requiring warships or manned aircraft to approach the danger zone, Army Recognition reported.
