- Amid a regional buildup, U.S. forces increased presence following USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group arrival amid escalating tensions with Iran and unrest marked by the rial trading at around 1,077,500.
- Small teams will deploy to multiple contingency locations to practise swift setup, aircraft launch and recovery using lean support packages with host nations and civil/military aviation authorities, CENTCOM said.
- Lt Gen Derek France said U.S. airmen prove readiness under challenges, while the deployment intensified speculation President Donald Trump could order action and the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group expands strike range with Tomahawk cruise missiles.
- The U.S. also held a similar exercise over the weekend, while Iran showcased its reported drone carrier and Turkey completed technological barriers along its 350-mile border with Iran, including more than 200 electro-optical towers and a 235-mile modular concrete wall.
