US House of Representatives member Darrell Issa held a series of meetings in Ankara and made important statements on many issues ranging from F-16s to S-400s.
US House of Representatives member Darrell Issa stated that there are no sanctions against Turkey, but pointed to the UAE formula regarding the S-400s. Issa also said that the priority for Turkey is not returning to the F-35 program, but rather the modernization of the F-16s.
Evaluating Ankara-Washington relations, Darrell Issa said, “Our shared interests are truly enormous. There are no sanctions against Turkey. Right now, the highest priority should be the modernization of the F-16s.”
