LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, JUL 21 – Fernando Ramirez, on parole, intentionally rammed a car into a nightclub crowd injuring at least 36 people; seven are in critical condition, police said.
- At roughly 2 a.m. Saturday outside the Vermont Hollywood nightclub, Fernando Ramirez drove a Nissan Versa into a crowd, injuring at least 30 people, LAPD said.
- Fernando Ramirez returned after being ejected for disruptive behavior, LAPD officials said, and a dispute with patrons inside preceded the incident.
- According to LAPD officials, after the crash bystanders assaulted Ramirez and one shot him, injuring at least 36 victims.
- Officer Norma Eisenman stated the shooter remains at large, Ramirez was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, and he is listed in stable condition after surgery.
