CBP Updates ACE Portal to Enable Electronic Refund Enrollment (IFR Announced with Support Calls)
On September 30, 2025, CBP updated the ACE Secure Data Portal to allow trade users to submit U.S. bank information and receive refunds electronically via ACH. On October 30, 2025, CBP launched an automated account application process. Starting February 6, 2026, all refunds will be issued electronically through ACH.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a notice on Tuesday (January 6) stating that it recently made two upgrades to the Automated Commercial Environment Secure Data Portal (ACE portal) to help users prepare for the transition to the electronic refund process on February 6. Therefore, "the trade community can expect to receive refunds more quickly."
