- Indigenous leaders, including Dallas Smith, president of the Nanwakolas Council, report the new tariffs are "hammering our plywood industry," as First Nations partners on Vancouver Island fear long-term damage to forestry investments.
- Defending the administration's tactics, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said farmers will ultimately benefit, though Ontario Premier Doug Ford threatened to restrict energy and mineral exports if the dispute worsens.
