The Attorney General of the Republic, Carlos Díaz, and the U.S. Ambassador, Melinda Hildebrand, announced the shipment of a total of 45 tons of drugs, which were seized in Costa Rica, to U.S. territory for destruction.
The cargo was seized during operations carried out in recent months with the support of the DEA. Its transfer was made from the airport Juan Santamaría due to the budgetary constraints of the Central American country to eliminate narcotics.
