Urawa Reds Terminate Contract with Manager Scorja; Tanaka to Take over as Interim Manager (Kyodo News)

J1 club Urawa Red Diamonds announced on the 28th that they have terminated their contract with manager Maciej Skolja (54). The club has suffered seven consecutive defeats in the special tournament, the Centennial League, including a penalty shootout loss, and is currently struggling in 7th place out of 10 teams in the East. For the remaining matches of the Centennial League, former player and assistant coach Tatsuya Tanaka will take over.
