Update: Winter weather advisory in place for New York until Tuesday night — wind gusts reaching 40 mph

On Tuesday at 3:55 a.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Niagara, Orleans, Genesee and Wyoming counties.The weather service adds to anticipate, "Lake effect snow and blowing snow. Update: Wind advisory affecting Jackson County until early Tuesday evening – gusts to hit 45 mph

On Tuesday at 2:23 a.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Jackson County.The weather service says to prepare for, "Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph."
