OPELOUSAS, La. (NEWS 15) — Six separate shootings have resulted in at least one injury, three arrests, an arrest warrant issued in another, and two other active investigations, according to the Opelousas Police Department.

Over the past week, the Opelousas Police Department have investigated six separate incidents involving the discharge of firearms within the city limits. Through the swift work of the officers and investigators and assistance from the community, arrests have been made in three of these cases, arrest warrants have been issued in one, and two remain active investigations, officials said.
