Power restored to Huntertown after Wednesday morning outage
HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (WANE) A power outage affected thousands of Northeastern REMC customers in Huntertown in northern Allen County Wednesday morning. According to the NREMC outage map, the outage happened at 9:45 a.m. The utility says a surge protector broke on a a pole. Power was restored in a little over a half hour.

The power is back on for nearly 1,100 customers in Quinte West, though another two dozen homes in the Picton area will be waiting until later in the afternoon.
