Update: Flash flood warning for Monmouth and Ocean counties expected to expire at 9 p.m.
The warning was active for Monmouth and Ocean counties."The heavy rain has ended. Flasg Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. A new, more targeted Flood Warning was issued for the Jackson, Manasquan, Howell, and Neptune area as numerous roads remain closed. Please refer to that bulletin for the updated information," states the National Weather Service.
Flash floods leading to road closures in Monmouth and Ocean counties
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning and a severe thunderstorm watch on Tuesday, July 1. The flash flood warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for southeastern Monmouth and northeastern Ocean counties.
