The number of unemployed registered in employment centres fell 9.3% in August, in homologous terms, but rose 1.7% compared to July, for the second consecutive month, to 273.723, according to data released this Monday by the IEFP. At the end of August, 273,723 unemployed individuals were registered in the Employment Services of the Continent and Autonomous Regions, a figure representing 68.5% of a total of 399,500 job applications.
