According to the hierarch, the Holy Father, through the Apostolic Penitentiary, established the Guadalupe Jubilee Year, which will be celebrated in connection with the fiftieth anniversary of the dedication of the new Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the transfer of the grace-rich image of Our Lady there, which took place on October 12, 1976.
