Unbeaten Windies win helter-skelter T20 World Cup match
Stafanie Taylor’s unbeaten 47 lifted the West Indies to 153, and Aaliyah Alleyne took three wickets in the final over.
On Thursday at Headingley, the West Indies defeated Scotland by seven runs in a Women's T20 World Cup match, remaining unbeaten in the competition.
Veteran Stafanie Taylor rescued the West Indies' batting effort with an unbeaten 47 off 19 balls, lifting her side to a competitive 6-153 after tight bowling reduced them to 124-6 after 18 overs.
Scotland's Katherine Fraser took two wickets including Hayley Matthews and effected a run out of Shemaine Campbelle on 36, starring in the field for Scotland during the chase.
Aaliyah Alleyne provided relief for the West Indies, taking three wickets in the 19th over, including Darcey Carter on 59, to shift momentum decisively.
Scotland required 17 runs off the final over but were all out for 146 on the last ball, leaving the West Indies and England as the only unbeaten teams in Group 2.
