‘Real Progress’ Made in Delivering Aid to Gaza, UN Says

- Amid a holding ceasefire, the United States, Qatar and Egypt brokered releases of Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees, while the first phase of the 20-point plan took effect on Friday.
- The UN warned that a massive funding scale-up is needed and Tom Fletcher cautioned that without fresh CERF contributions, critical aid cannot keep flowing after attacks killed more than 67,600 Palestinians since October 2023.
