KATHMANDU - The United Nations (UN) on Friday appealed to the international community to provide $50 million to help more than 84,000 people in Nepal after devastating floods in August, AFP reported.
After the devastating flood in the Himalayas, the United Nations has sent an appeal for aid to the international community of nearly 50 million dollars. The sum is needed for the supply of more than 84,000 disaster victims in Nepal, the UN said on Friday. The money should be spent primarily on food, drinking water, medicines and emergency shelters.
