Umeå Researchers' Discovery: Molecule that Can Kill Chlamydia Bacteria

Researchers at Umeå University, together with researchers in the US, have discovered a type of molecule that can kill chlamydia bacteria. This is hoped to lead to a new, better treatment. “This is important because the antibiotics we have today cause extensive damage even to good bacteria,” says Barbara Sixt, associate professor at the Department of Molecular Biology at Umeå University.
