UK's Eurovision act to feature special 'mega synthesiser'
Sam Battle’s oversized electronic rig is built from his own panels and staging, and he says the act is designed to stand out in the contest.
- YouTuber Sam Battle, known as Look Mum No Computer, will represent the United Kingdom at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest final in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
- The 37-year-old musician, who has amassed over 85 million views since 2013, will perform his track "Eins, Zwei, Drei," inspired by his extensive time spent in Germany.
- Battle built much of his own staging, including "mega synthesizer" panels on a much larger scale than ever attempted; he previously told the Press Association he doubted the BBC "trusted my welding."
- Broadcaster Graham Norton, who has covered Eurovision since 2009, praised the selection as "different to anything else we've ever entered" and a "really great choice" for the United Kingdom.
- Performing before an estimated 160 million viewers, Battle hopes to break the United Kingdom's 29-year winless streak dating to 1997, when Katrina And The Waves won with "Love Shine a Light.
