The Ukrainian army claims that drones have become its most decisive weapon, and that they now account for more than 80 per cent of confirmed enemy targets destroyed, as the war with Russia approaches its fifth year. According to the Ministry of Defence, Ukrainian forces recorded more than 819,000 drone attacks verified by video only in 2025, of which almost a third were directed against enemy personnel.
