Ukraine strikes 3 oil refineries, 4 radar systems deep inside Russia, SBU says

- On August 1, drone strikes triggered fires at the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery in Ufa, Bashkortostan. Social media footage showed multiple plumes of black smoke rising from the industrial area.
- This facility is part of Rosneft's Ufa refining hub, which processes approximately 23.5 million metric tons of crude oil annually. The complex is located around 1,500 km from the front.
- Residents reported explosions and drone activity, while Independent OSINT analysts from Astra geolocated footage to the site. At least two large columns of smoke were visible above the facility.
- Bashkortostan Governor Radiy Khabirov said air defenses had "repelled" the attack but that "due to falling debris from a downed unmanned aerial vehicle, smoke occurred."
- Earlier, drone strikes targeted the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal at Russia's Port Taman in Krasnodar. That facility handles nearly 20 million metric tons of cargo annually.
