The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Defence Policy, Kaja Kallas, has convened an extraordinary informal meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council due to the situation surrounding the future peace plan for Ukraine, which was prompted by a proposal from US President Donald Trump.
While the majority of European capitals are seeking to amend the 28-point plan supported by Washington, Hungary and Slovakia are detaching themselves by advocating for a speedy lifting of sanctions against Moscow.
At a time when Europe is seeking to be in the process of talks following the Washington peace proposal behind the backs of Ukrainians and Europeans, EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Kaja Kallas has called European headlines in the field to "close ranks and discuss next steps", European sources have confirmed Europe Press.
