UK will continue to support Ukraine '100%', PM Burnham says

On Tuesday, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham reaffirmed the United Kingdom's "100%" support for Ukraine against Russia's invasion, dismissing threats of "consequences" from Moscow regarding British-made drones in strikes on Russian territory.
The Russian Embassy in London warned Monday that Westminster would "pay" for enabling Ukrainian attacks on Russian soil, accusing the UK of "deliberately opting for an escalation of the Ukraine crisis."
Burnham insisted the UK is not a "fair-weather" friend, stating that providing support so "Ukraine can defend itself" remains the British position and the government would be there in "Ukraine's hour of need."
Separately, Russian missile strikes on the village of Pechenihy in the Kharkiv region killed 10 people and injured 18 on Tuesday, with the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reporting damage to 10 houses.
Ukraine has ramped up "long-range sanctions" in recent months to cripple the economy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, including deep strikes on an oil facility near the Estonian border and the Progress rocket centre.
