UK sexual predator who blackmailed Muslim men online jailed for 16 years
Police said Saeed targeted at least five victims with fake online personas and threats, then traced the accounts after a 2024 rape report.
- On Friday, Waleed Saeed, 31, was sentenced to 16 years in prison at Snaresbrook Crown Court for rape, blackmail, and sexual exploitation targeting five victims.
- Detective Constable Peter Collington of the Metropolitan Police stated Saeed deliberately targeted young South Asian and Muslim men, believing they would be less likely to report the crimes.
- Investigators found Saeed used fake online personas including 'Trans Girl Leah' and 'ComeDeal' to coerce victims into sharing intimate images before threatening exposure to families and workplaces.
- In addition to imprisonment, Saeed received a 10-year Sexual Harm Protection Order following convictions involving five victims, with further offences charged in March 2025.
- Detectives are appealing for further victim-survivors to come forward, urging anyone affected to contact police by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
