The United Kingdom will take “action” in the coming weeks against Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, new Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband promised today, condemning “acts of terror” by Israeli settlers. “In recent weeks we have witnessed absolutely appalling acts of settler terrorism and the expulsion of Palestinians from their homes,” Miliband said in his first speech to parliament since taking office in late July.
