UK bedding company that supplies Argos and Very enters administration after 150 years
PwC said difficult trading and cash-flow pressures led to the move, with 71 of 202 employees made redundant.
On May 1, the Trowbridge-based manufacturer Airsprung entered administration, resulting in 71 job losses, with joint administrators from PwC Edward Williams and Ross Connock now managing the 156-year-old company.
Difficult trading conditions and increasing cash flow challenges forced the manufacturer into administration, affecting its supply to major retailers including Argos and Very.
CEO and Director of Airsprung, Tean Dallaway, said the administration was "very sad and disappointing," while the company retains remaining staff to assist with ongoing operations.
Administrators will engage with customers and explore interest in the business assets on an accelerated basis over the coming weeks, encouraging any interested parties to contact them.
The collapse follows a difficult start to 2026 for the UK high street, as travel companies Salamander Voyages and EcoJet Airlines also entered administration recently.
