As France experiences its third heatwave since May, with temperatures rising up to 40ºC in some areas, Uber Eats and Deliveroo said they would impose breaks for food delivery cyclists, yet did not say whether they would be compensated.

Uber Eats and Deliveroo to give France drivers break when too hot
Uber Eats and Deliveroo on Wednesday said they would impose afternoon breaks for food delivery cyclists in parts of France under severe heat warnings, in a measure not so far applicable despite high temperatures.
Labour Minister Jean-Pierre Farandou called on "partner restaurants to show solidarity by allowing these workers access to water and cooling spaces".
