- Eighteen State Houses of Assembly have domesticated the harmonized taxes and levies law, reducing over 50 collection items to nine sub-heads, while Kaduna State tax compliance rose from about 35 percent to 65 percent.
- Governor Sani argued that sustainable taxation requires fairness, transparency, and trust, stating, "The objective should not simply be to collect more revenue. It should be to build a tax system in which compliance becomes easier."
- To build a sustainable revenue system, Kaduna state continues to invest in technology-driven revenue collection and professionalize its workforce, seeking a relationship with taxpayers based on clarity and mutual responsibility rather than fear.
