- Andrabi stated the high number was "mainly driven by administrative actions, including immigration status violation and other legal infractions," dismissing political motivations.
- The Interior Ministry maintained that Pakistanis continue to access work visas in the UAE "without prejudice," clarifying that recent debt repayments were routine financial transactions.
