Typhoon Francisco, or Typhoon No. 7, is expected to move southwest over the sea off Okinawa on Thursday and approach the vicinity of Miyakojima island in Okinawa Prefecture in the evening, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Typhoon No. 7 moved westward south of Okinawa on the 24th. It is expected to approach Okinawa by the 25th, and the Japan Meteorological Agency has called for caution in Okinawa and Amami against landslides, flooding of low-lying areas, and rising river levels.
