Two river rescues by Quesnel Search and Rescue in one day

Four paddlers were airlifted from Bowron Lake Park, and a separate Fraser River search ended after the person self-rescued, officials said.

Quesnel Search and Rescue (QSAR) was deployed to two river rescues on June 30. The first incident involved four paddlers who ended up stranded in the water near the Isaac River chutes, “in the non-travelable side of the river with no safe way to self-rescue,” QSAR said in a Facebook post.
