Two people killed in Rockwood train-vehicle collision, officials say

Two people died Thursday in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a train in Rockwood, investigators said.

Victims Of Train/SUV Crash In Somerset Co., Identified

Two victims have been identified in yesterday morning’s deadly train/SUV crash that occurred in Rockwood Borough in Somerset County.   Police have identified the two as 67-year-old Susan Spangler and 85-year-old Deloris Latshaw, both from Somerset.  According to state police the women were traveling through a railroad crossing when their SUV was struck by a freight train.  The train’s engineer and conductor were not injured.  State police report…
