Two of the Three Chileans Are Released From Detention upon Arrival in the Country After Being Deported From the U.S. - La Tercera

On Friday, the three deportees who were arrested this Friday morning when they arrived in the country, at 00.30 hours, from the United States. The three people, all from the Metropolitan Region, were part of the 45 Chilean citizens who were expelled by the Donald Trump government. At the three hearings, held in different courts, two of the three subjects who were arrested for having pending arrest warrants, were released.

Three Chilean citizens deported from the United States were arrested on Friday when they arrived in the country, but only one will remain in pretrial detention. The other two, with pending judicial cases, were released pending further hearings, as determined by the detention controls carried out during the day in different Santiago courts.
