HAMILTON, N.Y. — The Villanova men's golf team shot even in the second round and 1-over in the third to close the Alex Lagowitz Memorial in third place as a team Sunday.

An opening round three under par 285 had the Lehigh men's golf team in second place out of 14 teams at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Saturday at the Seven Oaks Golf Club. With two individuals in the top five, the Mountain Hawks are in the hunt. Play was suspended due to darkness before the completion of round two. Round two will be completed Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the final round.

Canisius junior Mikey Takacs shot a one-over 73 and fellow junior Alex Schickling posted a two-over par score of 74 in the first round of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, played Saturday at Colgate's Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y.
