Two more charged amid murder probe over death of 12-year-old in Essex
Essex Police say the pair face charges including perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender as inquiries continue.
On Thursday, September 3, Essex Police charged William Lunnon and Ruth Lunnon, both 65, in connection with the death of 12-year-old Bobby Bloomfield; both appeared at Basildon Magistrates and were released on bail.
Bobby Bloomfield died in hospital after suffering serious injuries during an incident on Ashwells Lane, Pilgrims Hatch, near Brentwood, on Sunday, June 7; Essex Police inquiries into the case are continuing.
A 15-year-old boy and 43-year-old William Lunnon have already been charged with the murder; the teenager has denied the charge, while Lunnon has yet to enter a plea.
William Lunnon is charged with perverting the course of justice, while Ruth Lunnon faces a charge of assisting an offender; both are due at Basildon Crown Court on October 1.
A trial heard by a High Court judge is scheduled to begin on November 9 and is expected to last up to six weeks.
