Binance Keeps Serving EU Customers Months After Missing Its MiCA Deadline
Binance missed the EU's MiCA licensing deadline in July 2026 but is still serving European customers through the reverse solicitation exemption and an Abu Dhabi entity, according to a Bloomberg report. ESMA has now asked the exchange to confirm it's actually winding down, while Binance reportedly pursues a new license through France.
Since 1 July 2026, Binance can no longer offer services on crypto-actives in France for lack of MiCA accreditation. Two months after this switchover, the Autorité des marchés financiers has neither blocked access to the platform nor prevented the opening of new accounts since the Hexagone.
