Two men killed after wrong-way motorway crash near Kinross
- Around 10.30pm on Friday, a fatal head-on collision occurred on the M90 near Kinross after a grey Ford Kuga drove northbound on the southbound carriageway, striking a white Vauxhall Corsa.
- Both the 44-year-old driver of the Kuga and the 20-year-old driver of the Corsa sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
- Emergency services dispatched three appliances to the scene, with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service receiving the call at 10.40pm; the M90 closed for about 16 hours between junctions six and nine for investigation.
- Chief Inspector Lyne Williamson, Operational Support Division, said, "My thoughts are with the families of both the men who died following this tragic incident." An investigation is underway to establish full circumstances.
