Two Men Die After Four-Vehicle Road Crash in Co Tipperary
Two men died and eight others were injured in a four-vehicle crash, with forensic investigators closing the road for examination, Gardaí said.
- On Saturday, a four-vehicle crash in County Tipperary killed two men, occupants of one car aged in their early 20s and late teens, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
- Shortly before 6pm, gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision on a local road about 15km from Thurles.
- Two women in their 20s were taken to Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, six other individuals were assessed at scene without hospital transfer, and a family liaison officer was appointed, Gardai said.
- Gardai have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to contact Thurles Garda station on 0504 25100 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
- Local diversions were set up while forensic teams examined the crash site on Saturday night, and the road remained closed for Garda Forensic Collision Investigators' examination.
