A nurse has said she is “overjoyed” after winning an award at the inaugural Dementia Care Awards, which celebrated “outstanding” practice in dementia services in East Cheshire. Dementia care NHS worker Laura Birch was named Admiral Nurse of the year at the gathering held at the Hilton London Bankside.
