Two GNR soldiers were arrested in Tavira because of suspicion of exorcising and maltreatment of Asian immigrants. The military were being investigated by the GNR itself, because the victims had never filed a complaint. The Guard and the Ministry of the Public have found strong evidence that both guards were committing theft, assaulting physical integrity and falsifying documents.

Soldiers 23 and 25 years of age are accused of the practice of stealing crime, falsification of documents and violations of the physical integrity of “foreign citizens, of Hindu origin”.
