Video Shows Good Samaritans' Efforts to Rescue Victims From Fiery Rollover Crash
DPS said a Toyota crossed into a Freightliner and then hit a Ford F-250, and both drivers who died were wearing seat belts.
On Monday, May 18, 2026, a fiery three-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 1233 in Ward County left two drivers dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At 6:50 a.m., a Toyota Tundra traveling east failed to maintain its lane, striking a westbound Freightliner Cascadia Evolution before hitting a Ford F-250, causing both vehicles to catch fire.
Authorities pronounced Sergio Lujan Olivas, 22, of Monahans, dead at the scene, alongside Enrique Flores III, 40, of Crane, following the fiery impact.
Texas DPS investigators confirmed both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, which occurred at mile marker 234 on the rural highway.
The deadly collision remains under investigation by state authorities to determine the specific factors that caused the Toyota to leave its lane and initiate the multi-vehicle crash.
