Avalanches in Austria have killed at least four people. Three people died near the village of Sankt Anton am Arlberg, and another skier died in Nauders near the Swiss border, AFP and APA reported on Friday. The skier was from Germany and his son is seriously injured. The agencies did not specify the nationalities of the other three victims. Austrian police said the avalanche also injured two Czechs.

At least two people died in an avalanche in St. Anton, Tyrol (Landeck district), on Friday. An avalanche in Nauders earlier also claimed a life.
