Two-day festival of Korean culture coming to Langley
The free two-day event expects more than 20,000 visitors and features hanbok try-ons, taekwondo demos, K-pop dance and Korean food booths.
The Korean Society will host its first festival south of the Fraser River at Willoughby Community Park on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, offering free admission to Korean food, culture, and performances.
To share Korean traditions with a broader audience in the Fraser Valley, The Korean Society launched this event following previous gatherings in Burnaby in 2023 and 2025.
Running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, the festival features performances by ARIA Gayageum Ensemble, Namsadang Cultural Institute, and Kyunghee Taekwondo Demo Team, plus hanbok try-on activities.
Administrator Chris Shin expects more than 20,000 visitors over the two days, while World-OKTA Vancouver will provide imported Korean goods including kimchi and traditional snacks.
The program features Thaiyo Seo, a Now or Never Crew member and Team Canada Breaking coach for the Paris Olympic Games, delivering a high-energy breaking segment for all ages.
